Marjie & Geoff

Marjie Findlay and Geoff Freeman purchased the farm in 2010 with the intention of keeping its land in agricultural production and restoring the farm as a place where people can connect with land, their food, and their farmer. Marjie has an interest in sustainable agriculture and farm-based education, and is committed to increasing access to healthy food. She can frequently be seen with the field crew or leading a hunt for tomato horn worms. Geoff is a retired architect of college and university libraries, and is now having an absolute blast designing structures like mobile chicken coops, our timber-frame farm stand, and our many ongoing historic barn improvements.

Andrew

Andrew Rodgers,  Farm Manager, grew up in Newton, MA and studied English at UMass, Amherst. After working in market research, Andrew learned about how much positive impact sustainable farming can have on the environment and decided to shift his career path to farming in 1999. Prior to joining Clark Farm as Farm Manager in 2011, he spent over 13 years gaining farming and management experience at various farms in the New England region, including Stearns Farm, Meadow Brook Farm, and most recently, Green Meadows Farm. With his knowledge of farming and passion for organics, Andrew has given new life to Clark Farm.


Frank

Frank Proctor, Project Manager, is an extraordinary finish carpenter and builder of all things. After managing a variety of construction projects in the area for over 30 years,  Frank has organized and directed all of the building-related changes involved in Clark Farm's rejuvenation. Together with Geoff, and a great team of subcontractors, Frank completed the renovations of the historic 1850 barn, CSA room and farmhouse, constructed the mobile chicken coops, and managed the building of our new farm stand. We all say we'd be lost without him.

Mary Liz

Mary Liz Veling moved to Massachusetts and joined the Clark Farm as the Assistant Manager in December 2016. After studying forestry in undergrad, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in northern Ghana where she quickly fell in love with the lifestyle that is farming. Before joining Clark Farm, Mary Liz apprenticed in Santa Cruz, California and worked on several CSA and market farms in Pennsylvania. Her off-farm life consists of hiking and traveling as much as possible with her husband. Originally from South Carolina, her long-term goal is to start her own small farm in the southeast.


Amanda

Amanda Leahy grew up in Lowell, MA and is a graduate of Lowell High School. She earned a B.A. in English from Boston College, an M.A.T. in Secondary Education from Brown University, and an M.F.A. from Vermont College of Fine Arts. Amanda taught English at Lowell High School for five years before transitioning to working in sustainable agriculture in 2017. She now manages the CSA at Clark Farm.


Anson

Growing up on the farm, Anson Rodgers’ deep connection to the land was apparent from an early age. He started as one of the original participants in our Young Farmer program. Over the years, he evolved into a natural leader, eventually becoming the crew leader of the Young Farmers. His dedication and passion were undeniable, and he quickly transitioned into an essential role in our day-to-day operations.
